We are excited to see the progress on Rockcliff’s 100%-owned Laguna Gold Mine, located in Manitoba’s Snow Lake-Flin Flon Greenstone Belt. It is Manitoba’s first and highest grade (~19 g/t Au) former gold mine. At Laguna, the Company has completed an airborne drone magnetometer survey that shows a strike length of 6 km by 200 m width. RCU has completed significant ground proofing over the Laguna Gold Mine Trend including mapping and grab sampling of historic trenches which returned up to multi-ounce gold assays and visible gold. Several additional surveys are nearing completion and a drill campaign will follow.
Rockcliff’s additional properties also located in the Snow Lake Project are copper/zinc/silver/gold/rich VMS projects, several with already significant compliant resources. Excellent infrastructure, nearby operating mines, experienced workforce makes the Snow Lake projects ideal for exploration, development and production.
A sample from Laguna Mine (called Herb Lake back then) can be seen at the Royal Ontario Museum’s Teck Suite of Galleries: Earth’s Treasures (specimen #11).
